Statutory roles not currently applicable

As a matter of transparency, we confirm that the following officer roles — sometimes conflated with the Grievance Officer role — do not currently apply to GABFORGE UNLIMITED at our launch scale:

Nodal Contact Person (IT Rules 2021 §4) This role applies only to Significant Social Media Intermediaries — i.e., intermediaries with more than 5 million registered users in India. We are well below this threshold at launch. We will appoint a Nodal Contact Person and publish their details here if and when we cross the threshold.
Resident Grievance Officer (IT Rules 2021 §4) Same threshold as above. Also not currently applicable.
Chief Compliance Officer (IT Rules 2021 §4) Same threshold as above. Not currently applicable.
Statutory Data Protection Officer (DPDP Act 2023 §10) Applies only to Significant Data Fiduciaries, as classified by the Data Protection Board of India based on volume, sensitivity, and risk factors. GABFORGE UNLIMITED has not been so classified and does not meet the notified criteria at launch. We maintain a working privacy@gabforge.ai and privacy@gabforge.in inbox so data principals have a reliable contact channel regardless.

If our scale or classification changes and any of these roles becomes statutorily required, we will appoint the role, publish the officer's details on this page, and update the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service accordingly within the statutory timelines.
